Orchard House is a contemporary large holiday home set just off the market square in Masham which is a picture-postcard Yorkshire Dales market town. With five generous bedrooms and large open-plan living spaces, it’s the perfect house for family and friends getting together for a holiday in Yorkshire. Please note all the bedrooms are upstairs so not suited to limited mobility.

The accommodation is set over three floors. Downstairs is dominated by a very pleasant large lounge and dining area featuring an open fire and under floor heating throughout. This bright and comfortable area has double aspect windows with views to the front and rear gardens.

This leads on to a spacious and stylish kitchen which has sliding doors out to the patio and garden beyond. You’ll find all mod cons in here including a kitchen island with bar stools, which is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner glass of bubbly! Also, on the ground floor you will find a utility room and WC.

The first floor houses three double bedrooms; the master bedroom has a king-size bed and en suite with double shower, the second double also has a king-size bed and the third has a double. In addition there is a family bathroom with a bath and separate shower.

Up to the top floor and a further two bedrooms, one of which is a double with a king size bed, with the fifth bedroom accommodating three single beds. There is another bathroom up here with shower.

Outside Orchard House you can escape to a peaceful long garden featuring a BBQ and pizza oven if you fancy a spot of al fresco cooking. The large lawn is ideal for children to dash up and down whilst you enjoy a quiet drink from the patio.

Orchard House is set within a gorgeous village in the Dales and is surrounded by neighbouring properties. As such use of the garden is prohibited after 10pm every evening, and it is appreciated if guests respect the neighbours and keep noise to a reasonable level at all times. Many Thanks

“This is our 29th week staying in the stable block over last 10 years. Speaks for itself. Our home from home. Comfy and welcoming.”

“Great value accommodation, felt immediately at home & only 2mins walk from Masham market square”

Courtyard / garden space, adjacent to bedrooms & lounge, shared with two other sets of visitors could cause problems, Lovely living space with all facilities, spacious, uncluttered, contemporary with lots of natural light – and good wifi.

“Great house, brilliant location for families with kids. Thanks for a wonderful week with four generations.”

Malone Family

“We all had a lovely time in Morton House.  Great location, fantastic house and the best kitchen.  A holiday that grown ups and children will remember.  Thank you.”

“Last minute stay in a wonderful house in a great location.  Everything you need for couples or families … thank you.”

The Whithams

“Fabulous stay in beautiful Masham in a gorgeous house. Warmly welcomed by Michelle.”

Just a minor thing – but as we are travelling around the UK we are trying to pack light so don’t carry things such as body wash for the shower. We assumed accommodation would provide this. Also there was a washing machine but no laundry detergent. It would have been convenient if this had been supplied – even at a cost. But as I said minor things.   We had the whole house to ourselves. Loved the wood fire. Old world kitchen was lovely. Fully appointed with everything you could need.

“Had a great stay – house and surrounding area had everything we needed.”

Cooper Family

“Four generations of our family stayed here to attend a wedding.  Accommodation of a high standard, king size bed very comfy, all amenities close by and a warm welcome from Michelle and Columb.”

“A wonderful break in great accommodation and fantastic weather – what more could you ask for to celebrate a ‘Masham boy’s’ 80th birthday.”

The Mallabys

“A gem of a place to stay”

Homely, great host and wonderful amenities with a fantastic range of activities on the door step, We hope to return!

Booth Family

“Great house, very comfortable.  Fabulous end of a great holiday, thank you both so much – would come again.”

“What a great village”

Lovely accommodation, fabulous weather.  We visited the Forbidden Corner, Himalayian Sculpture Gardens and Theakstons Brewery.  We could be back.

Rimmer Family

Great location. Great accommodation. Great!”

The shower rooms were a little small. The sink was low for anyone with a bad back. (got me out of the washing up though!)  We really liked the underfloor heating. The beds and stay were very cosy and comfortable but with enough space to feel right at home. Great location for discovering Masham (could walk right into town or by the river and the surrounding area!)

“Lovely house, weather was great, enjoy tranquillity in the outdoors. Close to all amenities especially 2 breweries. Had food at Kings Head. Will recommend!”

“Excellent time, really comfortable house, appreciate the hospitality and welcome, haven’t moved from Masham!  Lots of pubs and walks to enjoy.  Best wishes for the new year.”
